"Took almost four to get here. Not like we're making it back tonight even if we did leave now," Seth shrugged. He wasn't planning on leaving the key components behind anyway.

He finished the cigarette and flicked away the butt before rising to take a look around. They were there so it wouldn't hurt to check for anything else that might be useful or worth selling. The stalker was doing the same a short way off.

It was a while later, the winds were whistling too loudly to hear the scurry of anything small. Richie had finished and sat aside to eat some jerky and watch the others scrounging for what else they could find. "How far along is she now?" Richie asked his brother.

Seth was arranging his pack to get ready to move on and seek shelter when he heard the question. He looked up, tension drawing im his shoulders as he exhaled slowly - remembering their brief, aggressive encounter when Richie had passed back through Oberon. Not long after the tragedy.

He forced that aside as he shook his head once, "She's not. We lost the baby."

The winds were beginning to howl down the streets as they left the old salvage yard. They set a quick pace in search of shelter once Ivan indicated there was a stalker cache in the vicinity.

It was as they drew near that a pack of watchmen came barreling down the street in search of shelter after a particularly ground shaking clap of thunder.

The stalker wasn't so lucky. He seemed to lose his footing or somehow trip - Seth was too preoccupied with the rest of the pack to tell. Whatever the case, Ivan went down under one of the beasts.

By the time they were able to fend off the rest, the man had gone silent.

"Shit," Seth muttered as he stepped to check the man's pulse, even though it was apparent he wasn't alive.

With his mouth set in a grim line Seth cut the straps of the man's pack, then patted the body down for anything useful. When done he crossed Ivan's hands over his chest.

"Let's go," he muttered, grabbing the dead man's pack as he stood. The first rain drops were beginning to pelt them as they continued on the trek. Both were half soaked when they finally made it to shelter, but they ducked inside before the worst of it began.
