"Talk to each. There are a lot of sore feelings," she said. "I'm hoping you two can finally get them out without punching each other."

"There's not much to say is there? Seth made it pretty clear he just fucking hates me when he did this. I got the message."

“Are we done here?” Richie looked to Kae. “This isn’t going to fix anything. He’s going to continue to follow those people blindly. Doesn’t give two shits that he pushed me away. Satisfied?”

“You don’t fucking get it do you? You still don’t fucking get it. Nothing down here is free Seth and what are they getting for helping you? Their son back?” He turned ire toward Seth. It was an ire that Kae had never really seen from Richie except for when he found her in the tunnels trying to steal from one of his comrades.

"That's not it Seth. Nothing here is free. You get to know them and they get a free soldier. They get to know Tonka, they get a free engineer. You were so wound up and star eyed like those animals from that deer movie you were too blind to see it. And I know," he looked to Alice, "you were sick," he turned his attention back to Seth, "but you blew me off every time I tried to talk to you about it. Told me we could talk about it later. But the more they dug their claws in that later was getting closer to never. Have you even asked them anything about their plan? What sort of authority do you have with them? Or do they make all the decisions, you just run out and get the stuff? Just follow them blindly into the unknown. Would you do this if Alice was still pregnant?"

"Fuck's sake you keep saying that like you ever gave me time to think anything over. The possibility that they were our parents was the absolute least of my worries but you just wouldn't lay off badgering about it," he glared at his brother, "as for the plan I know about as much as they do. It never came up until Oberon fell. There's nowhere else for us to go and if there's a chance of something better outside of Moscow then it's worth the risk."
