Mykola Dalco
Mykola stayed on the bench, keeping watch over their belongings until Nikita returned, "Thanks," he grinned, inhaling the scent ad he took it, "what do I owe you?" @TrustyasHeck
Nikita Fischer
"Nah," she said, grinning as she picked up her bag and slung it over one shoulder. "Nothing owed. I'm sure we'll owe and repay each other enough as it is once we get into the field. That's what a travelling companion is. I don't keep track when it comes to that, though unless someone fucks with me." She gave him a thumbs up and headed off with a reminder that she'd see Mykola in ten hours or so. After that it was just a matter of tending to small errands and then finding a place to pass out for long enough to stop being tired as hell. Waking up to her watch beeping at her, Nikita yawned and got up, heading out to the market again after some hygiene upkeep and other small tasks. It didn't take long for her to get back to the market and the bench they'd been sitting at the day before. Optimism, pessimism, and nerves battled in her gut as she looked towards the bench to see if Mykola would be there. @Dragon
Pyotr Streznokov
Pyotr had set up a small area using his bag as a chair with his most common wares layed out in front of him for potential customers to look through he yawned rather bored with the market this morning carefully watching for anyone to sell his special wears to. @TrustyasHeck
Nikita Fischer
Nikita didn't see Mykola around anywhere specifically, so she gazed around, looking for something interesting. And she found it in the form of a guy sitting on his bag. With a little shrug, she walked over and started looking around to see what he had for offer. "Hi! What've you got?" she asked, curiosity filling her tone. @Prophet1943 Edited June 12 by TrustyasHeck
Pyotr Streznokov
Pyotr looked up at her and smiled his faced was ragged his beard all over the place and his hair messy "Ah finally a customer I have the normal wears books food parts all depends what your after my dear friend you want it I can acquire it" @TrustyasHeck
Nikita Fischer
"Food?" she asked, brows raised. "Got anything that'll last a couple days - stuff a stalker might want to take topside with them? If so, how much does it cost?" Realistically, most things would keep for longer topside than they would in the Metro - being a cold dry winter - but the more simple to carry and eat, the better. Maybe they'd have something decent for food breaks when they set out, if she could get something from this merchant. Hmm. The possibilities... she hoped that this vendor had some decent food options for travel, but if not, she was already thinking about some other options. @Prophet1943 Edited June 12 by TrustyasHeck
Pyotr Streznokov
He claps his hands and laughs leaning to his side and pulling his large bag out from under himself hitting the floor and tipping over slightly before reaching into his bag and pulling out a couple faded green bags "I have managed to acquire the food that our soldiers use to eat while out in the field while certain contents may be stail they are self heating and do contain canned food and since the integrity of everything inside can not be guaranteed I'll give you what I believe to be a fair price at 10 bullets per package." @TrustyasHeck
Nikita Fischer
Nikita eyed the packages for a while. From what she knew about MREs, which this seemed to be, they were typically made to be able to be stored for a while - maybe ten years if stored in a cool, dry environment. Well, basically frozen, up top, would extend it - and who wouldn't want to take the risk even if it is stale, to taste the food that Russians used to live off of, to enjoy? And each of the packets were largely 24-hour packets, if they were the most recent packets the Russian army used, not that she knew them well enough to recognize on sight by the colour, and if they were the American MREs that used to get imported for the kinds that liked it, that wouldn't be so bad either... ten bullets were the equivalent cost of a medkit; she could handle that financial loss several times over. So she did. "If I can check to see the seals weren't tampered with, I'll happily buy eight or as many as you have if you don't have a full eight, with thirty bullets extra if you reserve any others you find over the next three weeks for me to have the first chance to buy them unless I don't manage to make it back here before then," she said, gesturing calmly as she spoke, a subconscious fluttering of her hands that seemed to convey her positive feelings towards the purchase. "Sound like a deal?" @Prophet1943 Edited June 12 by TrustyasHeck
Pyotr Streznokov
Pyotrs smile grew as she spoke he took more out of his bag gesturing for her to inspect them as much as she likes "You seem like your going to be an Interesting customer can I get your name ma'am and I'll also make sure to reserve any interesting things I find for ya" he stands reaching out his hand the bright red lantern on his hip moving about as he does so. @TrustyasHeck
Nikita Fischer
"Nikita," she said with a grin, "Nikita Fischer. And yours?" As she inspected each one perfunctorily, she placed it just to the side of the others in a pile, and when she found them all to be intact she nodded, happily digging into a little satchel that she had slung around her hip, hidden under her vest. She produced the agreed upon amount of MGR, placing the bullets (in their little storage clips) where the packets had originally been stacked in a neat little line for easier counting as she started to load the now purchased MREs into her bag. "I'm happy to be doing business with you, indeed. I definitely think this is a good business relationship so far," she commented, feeling very satisfied with her purchase despite how much less her 'wallet' weighed now. "Everything accounted for?" @Prophet1943 Edited June 12 by TrustyasHeck
Pyotr Streznokov
"Pyotr Streznokov and seems to be I thank you NIkita and like I said fi you have anything in particular your looking for and cant find you come to me and I'll see if I can find it I seem to be rather lucky with this kind of thing oh and before you go on your way would you celebrate the future of our business with a little tea" he asks her as he sits back down and pulls out a beat up old kettle. @TrustyasHeck
Nikita Fischer
Nikita grinned as she saw the well loved kettle and nodded. "Sure. I like tea as much as anyone else," she agreed, sitting near him and producing an equally dented metal cup from her bag, just large enough to have the long L-shaped metal handle on the side fit around her hand. She fidgeted with it idly as she got comfortable, seeming rather pleased so far. @Prophet1943 Edited June 12 by TrustyasHeck
Pyotr Streznokov
"Ah good to see a fellow tea enjoyer" her pores some of the tea into her cup and does the same for himself "unfortunately I cant really heat it up here but if you ever catch me on the surface or in the tunnels I would be more than happy to make you a nice hot cup of tea." @TrustyasHeck
Nikita Fischer
"Of course," she agreed glibly, "It would be lovely." She took a sip of the tea without question, not minding that it wasn't hot - she could go get it heated up just about anywhere if she needed to, but she was no stranger to having cold or lukewarm food and tea at any time. It was just normal at this point, with how long she'd been going topside. "This is good," she murmured softly afterwards. "I like it. I heard there's a deal going on at the main cook's stall by the way, they have eggs at the moment. You should grab one while they're in high supply. They're serving bacon with it." @Prophet1943
Pyotr Streznokov
"Bacon and an egg definitely sounds nice and I agree been a long while since I last shared a cup of tea with someone most of who I run into in the tunnels nowadays are bandits or soldiers thinking I'm some kind of spy and the watchers on the surface definitely aren't creatures capable of a nice chat would you like me to grab you an egg and some bacon aswell" He stands up streching his entire body cracking as he does so. @TrustyasHeck
