Damian let the conversation drop as well trying to focus as they kept moving. He was certainly going to regret not waiting a few extra days when he got to Oberon. For now he just had to tough it out. He also recognized the location as being near where they had last seen the bear. He was hoping, since it'd been a few days it had moved on for more prey.

She would have preferred to detour away from the building they had ended up cutting through. Unfortunately, this was the most direct route. And one that involved minimal scaling of rubble. Damian wasn't exactly in a state to be straining any more than necessary.

So to Damian that meant come back out after she went home. He nodded. "Okay," he agreed as they continued straight past the building. He felt a tenseness as they got closer the building listening harder to see if he could hear the beast that had torn him up hoping it wasn't anywhere nearby.

Asche ended up loosing a long, silent breath and slowing her pace as they neared the end of the building. Off along the side where they'd initially bolted inside to get away from the bear, "Go hole up," she murmured after a moment, nodding off toward a nearby shop front that provided a small sort of shelter, "sit tight and wait for me. I'll only be a few minutes."

She guessed the least she could do was go find whatever was left of his pack. There must have been something in there that he wanted back.

Asche bit the tip of her tongue before she actually managed to blurt out the thought that leaped to it - that he was sort of stiff in general.

She waited until he'd ducked into shelter before she slipped quietly off. Hopefully the bear had moved on since they were through last. She really just wanted to get in and out for a change. Soon she was out of sight among the rubble as she made her way into the building.

As she made her way inside to where Damian's pack was in tatters Damian sat down and rubbed his leg to try to relax the muscles a bit from the walk so far. It was fortunate that Oberon and Polis weren't more than a few miles from each other but the things you have to scale to get there, certainly took a toll on someone that was injured like he was. It didn't help that it felt like the company felt obligated to be there.

Damian scratched at his chest idly as he thought about Asche before he shook the thought out of his head and listened for the bear.

As she crept toward the building Asche noticed a few tracks outside. They certainly belonged to the bear, but they were older. A few days by the look of those that remained visible. She was hopeful that meant the beast had moved on.

Still, she was cautious as she crept into the dilapidated structure in search of Damian's missing pack - or anything left of it to recover.
