"She's covering for some guy named Gleb," Joe said to them as she walked up to them, noting no one was in the room with the woman. "Sounds like Gleb killed the fat bastard and she came running out to cause a scene to make it seem like a heart attack," Joe elaborated. "At least from what the girl told me."

"Gleb huh?" Valkov asked, thinking it over.

"Not the most common name but it doesn't really narrow it down for us either..." He explained.

"Forget about the Gleb guy for now..." Voloyda told him.

"At least now we know somethings up..." He explained before thinking it over. "Then again I doubt the Council or the Kshatryia will care too much about what she might say without anything from that Natasha girl....she hasn't budged at all." Voloyda explained.

"And we gave it are all...everything short of torture." Valkov added.

"I'm thinking we should send Dag in there..." Voloyda offered. "...He'd probably have better luck than us at getting something from her."

"If the girl is telling the truth, this Gleb character might be the key to making Natasha talk," Dag spoke up when he was suggested for the job, "how much did she tell you?" he asked, looking toward Joe, "Did she see how the prick was killed?"

"She didn't see shit," Joe advised him. "She was hidden outside the whole time. She took off when crazy," she indicated toward the room," started screaming murder."

"....She didn't hear anything?" Valkov asked Joe. "Gleb just walked in a killed him, no threats, no arguments, fighting, no reason for the murder? Just killed him?"

"The girl must have something to add," he frowned, inclined to agree with Volodya, "any kind of detail helps. The woman has to believe we know enough to put her down hard or interrogating her is going nowhere."

Outright torture was always an option. It just wasn't the most reliable.

Dagonet's expression darkened, "Oh for fuck's sake," he muttered. His thoughts immediately went to the girl Charlotte had come into with. She'd been babbling about looking for Metro Two.

"That girl that came in with Charlotte," he asked Joe, "any idea where they've gotten off to?"

"By now? About a month later?" Valkov asked. "Probably at home...dead...who knows." He explained before looking at Voloyda.

"...I only explored part of Metro-2, sir." He explained to Valkov. "Bunker-703 and some tunnels...I didn't find anything about any Gleb there..."

"Worth a try." Valkov muttered. "So...unless someone wants to rush over to wherever they live...Serpukhovskaya I think that Turgenev asshole said back when they came in from the dead city..." Valkov began, gesturing to Joe as he brought up that shitshow. "...we will need to figure something else out." Valkov continued.

"Those maintenance tunnels that Antipina girl was found in?" Voloyda asked.

"Maybe...but those got closed up not long after Polis was founded...damn shame too, would've saved us time when we needed to hunt down D6." Valkov explained.

"I don't see any other option then...unless you guys missed an entrance down there when you were closing them up." Voloyda explained, beginning to look at the exit, already considering scouting out the tunnels.

He'd known it was a futile question as he'd asked, but there was always some small, idiot part of himself that liked to hope for the best.

"Put a BOLO out on them anyway," Dag cut over the other two men, "any of them set foot in or around Polis in the next few months, I want them brought in. Offer a reward for information about them, even. I find it damn suspicious to have so many parties suddenly bringing Metro Two to attention."

He looked toward the room where the woman was being held, scratching the back of his jaw, "I'll deal with the woman for now. In the meantime it may not hurt to do a little scouting for the line ourselves. You know where the tunnels are," Dag looked to Volodya as he spoke, "take Malakov for support. See what you two can find, if anything.

"Yes, sir." Voloyda said giving a quick salute.

"Get going then, corporal." Valkov ordered and soon Voloyda left the room to find Malakov.

"I'll go and put the BOLO out." Valkov said soon after, following Voloyda out.
